Cybathlon 2024 – Outstanding Achievements
Three teams from Pázmány ITK competed in Cybathlon 2024. Ahead of the global event, HunFess and EyeRider participated in the preparatory Cybathlon Challenges. The Challenges events provided an opportunity to test the technology on a subset of the Cybathlon Global Edition tasks.
At Cybathlon 2024, the Ebrainers team competed in the BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) discipline, EyeRider in the VIS (Visually Impaired) discipline, and HunFess in the FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation Cycling) discipline — and all performed successfully.
Podium results: “Vision Assistant Race” Discipline:
- Spring 2023 (Cybathlon Challenges) – total of 2 tasks, max. 4 minutes
- 1st place: EyeRider (Hungary) – 2 tasks successfully completed
- 2nd place: FlashLight (United States) – 0 tasks successfully completed
- Spring 2024 (Cybathlon Challenges) – total of 4 tasks, max. 6 minutes
- 1st place: EyeRider (Hungary) – 3 tasks successfully completed
- 2nd place: NextVPU (China) – 2 tasks successfully completed
- 3rd place: A-Eye (France) – 1 task successfully completed
- Autumn 2024 (Cybathlon Global Event) – total of 10 tasks, max. 8 minutes
- 1st place: EyeRider (Hungary) – 7 tasks successfully completed
- 2nd place: A-Eye (France) – 3 tasks successfully completed
- 3rd place: SightGuide (Switzerland) – 2 tasks successfully completed
